St John Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT):
This is a soft tissue approach that was developed by Paul
St. John in response to his own constant, debilitating pain. In NMT your body's posture is assessed for any muscular imbalances and then muscles determined to be causing and contributing to those patterns are specifically and thoroughly addressed using deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy.
"I sought treatment from Mimi Erceg based on the recommendation of a friend who was aware of chronic neuromuscular and orthopedic injuries I had sustained. I hoped to get some relief for pain and numbness from cervical nerve damage as well as treatment for damaged lumbar and cervical vertebral disks. I was amazed to have greater than 90% relief from the cervical nerve issues after the very first treatment, and to have my back feel the best it had since injuring it. I am impressed by Mimi's diagnostic approach, her comforting manner, and her superb technical skills. I honestly thought I would be saddled with the effects of nerve damage for the rest of my life, but Mimi has made me feel like a new person, and I am very grateful to her." - John Organ
Positional Release Therapy (PRT):
In PRT a tender point is palpated, your body is placed into the position of greatest comfort for 90 seconds and then passively brought back to its neutral position. This interrupts the nerve signals maintaining the spasm, which essentially resets the nervous system and restores muscular balance.
"Mimi's Neuromuscular Therapy provides deep, active healing that has a lasting impact. Her work has made my body stronger, more flexible, and more resilient when pain or injuries do occur. Being her client has been a wonderful investment in my health and well-being that pays off on a daily basis." - M.J., Florence
Swedish Massage:
Swedish Massage consists of long strokes, muscle kneading, and compression to increase circulation and promote relaxation. My relaxation massage technique has been informed by my NMT training and therefore tends to be deeper than the standard Swedish Massage. However, I always work according to a client's tolerance level and can work with light, moderate, or deep pressure.
"The quality of my life is much, much better with Mimi in it! She has seen me through complicated body issues with expertise and grace—and a few laughs along the way.. I ALWAYS leave our sessions feeling better than when I arrived. I am grateful to her for terrific, relaxing massages, sound practical advice and high standards of professionalism." - Ann Burger, Happy Client
